Burns Prove Fatal.

Dewey Leander, son of Peter E. and Laura Chevalier, 121 East Fifth
avenue, died at 4 yesterday morning as a result of burns received at
his home on the previous day.  There was but little hope of the
child's recovery from the time he was burned, though he retained
consciousness up until 9 o'clock Monday evening.  He was 5 years, 8
months and 23 days old.  The funeral will take place at 2 tomorrow
afternoon.  Interment will be made in Greenwood cemetery.
