THOMAS CHRINIGER.

  Thomas Chriniger was for many years a well-known employe of the 
Pennsylvania Railroad Company.  He was in the olden days before this 
county was settled a prominent man in the wilds of the Alleghenies.  On 
Friday evening he breathed his last at the residence of his son-in-law, 
George W. Arthurs, at Eighth avenue and Nineteenth street, in the 81st 
year of his age.  The body was yesterday taken to Middletown, near 
Harrisburg, for burial.
