MRS. BERTHA E. CHRISTIAN.

  Bertha E., wife of Elmer G. Christian, died at her home, 2918 Walnut 
avenue, at 4.20 o'clock Saturday morning of heart disease, after an illness 
of four months.  Deceased was born in Alexandria, Pa., September 21, 1869, 
and was consequently aged 28 years, 5 months and 21 days.  She was the 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Ayres, 2911 Broad avenue, who survive her, 
together with her husband, three sisters and two brothers, as follows: Mrs. 
Annie Snoberger, Mrs. Maud Hall and Miss Lillian, of Millville; Charles and 
George L., of Pittsburg, and one son, J. Herbert, at home.  She was a member 
of St. Paul's Lutheran church, Millville, for many years.
  Funeral services will be held at her late home this afternoon at 1 
o'clock, conducted by her pastor, Rev. E. J. Metzler.  Interment will follow 
in Carson Valley cemetery.
