Christine, 72, of 1903 Hamlin Ave., Tyrone, Pa. died at 10 A.M. Friday, Nov. 7, 2003 at the Tyrone Hospital. He was born Nov. 11,1930 in Tyrone, the son of David M. and Susan Leona (Hand) Christine, Sr. He was married May 23, 1970 at Winchester, Va. to Wanda L. Sprankle. He is survived by his wife Wanda and three children: Russell Christine, Bedford, Va., Rhonda Christine, Altoona, Pa., Tammy Shomo, Tyrone, Pa., a grandson, Matthew David Christine, raised in the home. Grandchildren Shelly & Rusty Christine in Va. and Misty & Logan Shomo of Tyrone and one great granddaughter. He is also survived by a sister, Linda Perry of Sicklersville, N.J. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jean. He was a member of the Tyrone B.P.O.E. Lodge 212 and the Marine Corps League of Altoona. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict and two years in the National guard, 104th Armed Calvary. He retired in 1992 as a truck driver for Roberts Distributors, Altoona, after 18 years of service. Then, part-time custodian at the Tyrone Elks Lodge. Funeral services were held today at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, the Rev. Bruce K. Boyles officiated. Interment with military honors at Eastlawn Cemetery, Snyder Township. Friends were received at the funeral home Sunday, where an Elks memorial service was conducted Sunday evening. Tyrone Daily Herald, November 10, 2003
