MRS. BARBARA CLAAR,

An aged resident of Greenfield township, died yesterday at the home of 
her daughter, Mrs. John Tipton, at Claysburg, death being due to 
complications incident to old age.  She was born at Queen, Bedford 
county, on April 17, 1844.  She was a lifelong member of the Church of 
the Brethren.  She is survived by the following children: Mrs. John 
Tipton, Calvin Helsel, both of Claysburg, and Mrs. Samuel Hoover of 
Salemville.  She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four 
great-grandchildren.  The funeral will be conducted in Upper Claar 
church on Friday morning at 10 o'clock.  Burial will be made in the 
adjoining cemetery.
