CLAAR 61, of Walnut St., Roaring Spring, died at 3:35 a. m. Saturday, July 4, 1981, in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Youngstown, Ohio, following an accident at work in New Castle. Mr. Claar was employed in road construction for the RoMed Construction Co., Elwood City, for the past 10 years. He was born Oct. 23, 1919, in Roaring Spring RD, the son of William and Annie (Ernest) Claar, and July 25, 1942, in Winchester, Va., married Betty J. Hoover. Surviving are his wife and three brothers and a sister, Clarence, Chalmer and Wilfred of Roaring Spring and Mrs. Edna Bishop of Youngstown. Mr. Claar attended the Church of the Nazarene in Ohio, New York and Pennsylvania. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Labor International Union of North America. Friends will be received from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring. CLAAR - Services for Daniel E. Claar of 716 Walnut St., Roaring Spring, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, by the Rev. Blair McKim.
