CLAAR Of Box 250 Clair Street, Claysburg, died unexpectedly at 6:50 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 1978, at his home, after an extended illness. He was a heavy equipment operator for Sproul Lime and Stone Co., Claysburg RD. He was born July 16, 1925 in Claysburg, a son of Melvin and Jeannette (Burket) Claar, and Dec. 2, 1949, in Cumberland, Md., married Esther McCarthy. Surviving are his wife and five children, Mrs. Jacqueline Musselman of Claysburg RD and Douglass, Eric, Mark and Darin, all at home, a brother and sister, Melvin Jr. of Queen and Mrs. Della Whysong of Imler RD. He attended Claysburg-Kimmel schools. Friends will be received in the J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
