He was nearly 72 years of age, and would have celebrated his next birthday on the 3d of May, had he lived. The deceased was born in Maryland, near Oldtown, which place he left while quite young. His parents dying he was taken by an aunt, and was raised in Huntingdon, where he spent a large part of his life. Early in the year 1850 he moved to Altoona, then containing only a few houses. The first railroad shop was in course of construction, and it was not long before Mr. Clabaugh entered the employ of the company, with which he was connected for many years. For the last ten years he has not been engaged in any active business, but was up to the time of his decease the President of Fairview cemetery. This was the only public position he ever held. He leaves a wife and three living children, several having died. The three sons live, one in Altoona, one in Warrior's Mark, Huntingdon county, and the other in Homewood, Beaver county. He was a consistent member of the First Presbyterian church. The funeral will take place on Monday, at 10 o'clock; interment at Fairview cemetery.
