Mrs. Helen Clancy, aged 74 years, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. James Allen, Eighteenth avenue, between Twelfth and Thirteenth streets, at fifteen minutes past 11 on Monday night, after an illness which had lasted since November, 1885. The deceased was a consistent member of St. John's Catholic church. Her husband died about twelve years ago. She was born in the county Tipperary, Ireland, but, coming to America, she had made Altoona her home for some twenty-three years past. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. James Allen, and three sons, Thomas Clancy, who resides in this city, and two who are in the west. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, August 19, 1886, page 3
