CLAPPER Of Roaring Spring, died in Nason Hospital at 12.10 a.m. today. She was born at Roaring Spring RD Aug. 30, 1894, a daughter of Michael W. and Catharine (Dick) Reffner, and married Henry M. Clapper on Dec. 18, 1913, in Roaring Spring. He died on June 27, 1947. Surviving are seven children, Nelson E. of Lorain, Ohio, Glenn W. and Mrs. Marjorie Claar of Roaring Spring RD, Mrs. Phyllis Stock of Sebring, Fla., Vernon H. of Gettysburg, Paul N. of Roaring Spring and Mrs. Mila Baum of Newville; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, in addition to these brothers and sisters: Emory of Roaring Spring, Collins of Pitcairn, Mrs. Dorothy McNally of Roaring Spring RD, Mrs. Edith Miller of Bedford, Clarence of Casa Grande, Ariz., Mrs. Ethel Keith and Mrs. Vera Delozier, both of Roaring Spring RD. She was a member of the Roaring Spring Church of the Brethren, Truth Seekers Sunday School class, Nason Hospital and Friendship Fire Company Auxiliaries. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, after 7 p.m. Sunday. Altoona Mirror, May 22, 1965
