DAVID C. CLAPPER.

  David Conrad Clapper, a well known citizen of the west end, died at 
his home 2511 Oak avenue, at 1.15 o'clock Thursday afternoon.  Deceased 
was born in Carson Valley and was aged 55 years, 3 months and 2 days.  
He lived in Altoona the greater portion of his life.  For a number of 
years past he was employed as bookkeeper at Frank Brandt's mill.  
December 6, 1866, he was married to Miss Sarah Geiger in the state of 
Indiana.  She with these children survive: Ira M., Susan K., Guy E., 
Raymond and Rhoda all of this city.  Mrs. McClelland Mitchell of Broad 
avenue is a sister of the deceased.
