Clapper, one of Roaring Spring's best known residents, was found dead in bed at 5 o'clock Saturday morning by Mrs. Peter Clapper, a sister-in-law, at whose home he was staying, death having been brought about by heart trouble. Clapper was in good health and did not complain of being ill when he retired last night. He had talked with members of the family at 12.30 in the morning but at that time did not complain of being ill. Mr. Clapper was born at Curryville, Sept. 6, 1845, and is survived by one brother, Peter Clapper, with whom he made his home. Interment was made in the Albright cemetery.
