Robinson, of Canoe Creek, Mrs. Mary Ann Clapper, wife of the late Adolphus Clapper, died at 3.15 o'clock yesterday afternoon following a lengthy illness. Death was due to cancer from which she long had suffered. Mrs. Clapper was one of the oldest residents in the vicinity of Canoe Creek and was widely known and highly esteemed. She was born in Blair county and was aged 76 years, 10 months and 18 days. She is survived by the following children: George P. Clapper, of South Lakemont; Harry Clapper and Mrs. Russell Hamel, both of Brush mountain; Mrs. Al Johnson, of Homer City; Robert, of this city, and Mrs. Robinson, at whose home she died. Several brothers and sisters also survive. Mrs. Clapper was a dutiful and consistent member of the United Brethren church of Canoe Creek. Funeral arrangements are not completed, but it is likely that the funeral will occur at Canoe Creek, followed by interment in the United Brethren cemetery there.
