MARY CLAPPER At the home of her daughter, Mrs. Margaretta Hagey at 5 o'clock Tuesday evening, November 28, Mrs. Mary Brumbaugh Clapper passed to the eternal world, at the age of 90 years, 9 months and 24 days, having been born February 4, 1826, at Clover Creek. Deceased was a daughter of Jacob and Christine Brumbaugh. On April 24, 1845, she was united in marriage with John H. Clapper, deceased, and most of her life resided at Clappertown. To the union were born eight children, three of whom survive: Mrs. Margaretta Hagey, her daughter, at whose home she died, Archie C. Clapper of Clappertown, and John S. Clapper of Swissdale. Two died in infancy. The other three deceased children are: Jacob B. Clapper, Mrs. Elizabeth Fornwalt, and Mrs. Cecelia Johnson. Mrs. Clapper was almost a life long member of the Lutheran church, having united with the church at Williamsburg at the age of 15 years. For the past 21 years she made her home with her daughter. The funeral will take place this Friday morning at 10 o'clock with services in St. Matthew's Lutheran church. Interment will be made in the Clapper cemetery at Clappertown.
