CLAPPER Retired employe of the Altoona works, Pennsylvania railroad, died at 3.20 o'clock this morning at his home, 553 Fifty-third street, Roselawn. He had forty-six years' service in the car shops and had retired April 1, this year. The deceased was born in Canoe Creek April 7, 1870, a son of the late Adolphus and Mary Clapper and was married to Dessa Stultz June 21, 1898. In addition to his widow there survives one brother, Harry H. Clapper of Berwind White, and three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Johnson of Derry, Mrs. Myrtle Robison of Duncansville and Mrs. Bertha Hamill of Hollidaysburg. Mr. Clapper was a member of the Third United Brethren church of this city. The remains may be viewed at the Mauk & Yates funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening. Interment following in Rose Hill cemetery. Friends are being received at the Mauk & Yates funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening.
