Clark, well known World War veteran, died at his home, 420 West Fifteenth street, last Friday night at 10.25 o'clock following a two months' illness with a complication of diseases. Charles Alexander Clark was a son of William and Catherne (Morrison) Clark and was born at Bellefonte on July 28, 1892. On June 9, 1923 at Tyrone, he was united in marriage with Miss Emma Anderson. He had been a resident of Tyrone for fourteen years. He is survived by his mother, wife and two children. Charles C. and Evelyn M., also these brothers and sisters: William Clark, Walter Clark, of Rochester. N.Y.; Robert Clark, Olean, New York; John J. Clark, Tyrone; Mrs. W. E. Mease, Rochester, New York: and Mrs. John Glenn, Tyrone. He was a member of the First English Lutheran church, the I.O.O.F. lodge of Rochester, New York, and Howard Gardner Post No. 281, American Legion drum and bugle corps, serving with the American Army in France during the World war, with the 77th Division, taking part in five engagements. He was employed as a welder in the Altoona railroad shops. Funeral services will be held in the First English Lutheran church, on Tuesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock, in charge of Rev. Dr. Edward M. Morgan, followed by burial at Tyrone. Full military honors will be accorded by the Tyrone post of the American Legion. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., January 30, 1937
