All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ MISS MARGUERITE MARY CLARK, Of 703 East Blair street, Hollidaysburg, died at a local hospital this morning at 12.30 o'clock from an acute attack of asthma. Miss Clark had been suffering from asthma for the past two weeks, and was admitted to the hospital for treatment yesterday morning. She was a daughter of James Clark of Hollidaysburg and Caroline Schwerdt Clark, deceased, and was born in Pittsburgh, Jan. 23, 1899, being aged 27. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic church of Hollidaysburg and was a member of the Ladies sodality of that church, and a member of the L.C.B.A., Sacred Heart branch, No. 675, of Altoona. Miss Clark was a girl of fine Christian character, and was active in church and charitable work. She was employed as bookkeeper and clerk in the Hollidaysburg offices of the Penn Central Light and Power company and was well known and highly esteemed among the patrons of the office, for her courteous service and pleasing personality. The remains were taken today to the residence of her sister, Mrs. Raymond Gildea, of 706 Blair street. Miss Clark is survived by her father, and the following sisters and brother: Mrs. David Dodson of East Freedom and Mrs. Raymond Gildea, of Hollidaysburg; and Charles Clark, manager of the East Allegheny street Atlantic & Pacific Tea company store. The funeral services will be held on Thursday morning, at 9:00 o'clock, in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The rector, Father Michael V. Munfey, will conduct the services, with solemn requiem high mass.
