Clarke, whose extreme illness has hitherto been noted in the TRIBUNE, died yesterday morning at 11 o'clock at his residence in Duncansville. His circuit embraced Duncansville, Frankstown, Claysburg, McKees and Bennington. His funeral will take place at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Interment in the Presbyterian cemetery near Hollidaysburg. A committee of ministers from the conference will attend his funeral. Dr. Clarke was one of the oldest and most honored of the members of the Central Pennsylvania Conference. He commenced the work of the ministry forty-eight years ago and has prosecuted that work without intermission to the present time. He was known amongst his brethren as a man of unblemished character - a modest, sincere and faithful friend, an earnest and successful preacher of righteousness. His memory is fragrant and his works follow him. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Saturday, March 13, 1880
