Sinking Valley, Feb. 25. - George E. R. Coale died suddenly of heart failure, at his home in New York city on Tuesday morning, February 18. He was the second son of Rev. and Mrs. James J. Coale and was born in the Presbyterian manse at Arch Spring about forty-eight years ago. For many years he has been a devoted and efficient worker in the Salvation Army in New York city. He is survived by his wife and mother, two brothers, Rev. James J., of Baltimore, and Sidney T., of New York city, and the following sisters, Misses Margaret and Bella, of New York city; Miss Anna, of Hartford, Conn.; Mrs. Agnes Cumming, of Germantown, and Mrs. Helen Worthington, of Sweet Briar, Va. His funeral was held from his late home on Thursday, interment in the Salvation Army plot in Kensico cemetery, New York. Altoona Tribune, Wednesday, February 26, 1919, page 5
