Benjamin Coble, a well known resident of Williamsburg, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Annie Alsopp, at that place at 6:30 o'clock Saturday morning of diseases incident to old age. He had been in failing health for several years and had been confined to his bed for the past two weeks. Deceased was a son of John and Martha Coble, deceased, and was born in Hartslog Valley, Huntingdon county, on August 16, 1835. He spent the younger days of his life in that section of the state. He is survived by these children: Samuel F., Harry, and Mrs. Annie Allsopp, all of Williamsburg; Mrs. Mary M. Kipe, of Clover Creek, and Mrs. Julia Walls, of Ganister. Funeral services were conducted at 10 o'clock Monday. The remains were taken to Huntingdon county for interment in the Brumbaugh cemetery. WILLIAMSBURG The funeral of Mr. Benjamin Coble who died on Saturday morning took place at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Annie Allsopp on Monday morning. The services were conducted by Elder W. H. Holsinger, assisted by Rev. Reese. The funeral cortege left on the 11:30 train for Brumbaugh, Huntingdon county, where the remains were interred beside that of his wife who preceded him nearly three years ago. He leaves to mourn their loss three daughters and two sons and a host of friends and acquaintances. Martinsburg Herald, July 10, 1914
