Coble, of 2106 Second avenue, died at the Altoona hospital of strangulated hernia. He had been ailing only a few days. Deceased was born in Huntingdon county June? 7, 1855, and came to this city eighteen years ago and has since resided here. For several years he taught school in Blair, Huntingdon and Bedford counties. At the time of his death he was employed as a clerk under Foreman Edward ?Lean of the Pennsylvania railroad wheel foundry. He was a member of the Eighth Avenue Methodist Episcopal church and Christian Endeavor society, --?-- the Sons of Veterans. He was a man of excellent character and was much esteemed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife and these children: --?--, Clyde, William, Ralph, Myrtle, --?-- and Hazel; also by one sister, Aramintha McClallan [McClellan], of Tipton. The funeral arrangements have not been completed. Morning Tribune, Thursday, January 4, 1900 FUNERAL NOTICE. The funeral of W. W. Coble will take place from his late home, 2106 Second avenue, Saturday afternoon. Services will be conducted at the house at 2.30 o'clock by Rev. T. S. Wilcox, pastor of the Eighth avenue Methodist Episcopal church, assisted by Rev. Horace Lincoln Jacobs, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church. W. W. Coble on December 14, 1882, was married to Miss Anna Bell Hoover, at Woodbury, by the Rev. J. D. Snyder. She survives him with seven children.
