All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ TYRONE NEWS ITEMS William Hopkins Cochran, who has been a prominent and well-known resident of Tyrone for some thirty-two years past, died at his home, 1037 North Lincoln avenue, Saturday evening at 5:15 o'clock, of Bright's disease. The deceased was born in Lancaster county, December 28, 1838. He was a member of the First Methodist church, also a charter member and past archon of Tyrone Conclave No. 138, Improved Order of Heptasophs, and for three years prior to his death had been borough street commissioner. He was a good citizen, a kind and indulgent husband and father. He is survived by his wife and one son and two daughters, viz: John E. Cochran, Mrs. Ella M. High and Miss Sarah Cochran, all of Tyrone, and also by one sister and two brothers, viz: Mrs. John H. Kurtz, of Tyrone; Joseph Cochran, of Kansas City, Mo., and John W. Cochran, of Eureka Springs, Mo. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, to be conducted by Rev. W. M. Frysinger, D.D., assisted by F. L. Bergstresser.
