Union, was found dead in his bed at the home of his parents, 310 Second avenue, on Saturday morning at 9 o'clock. Death was caused by heart disease. Mr. Coffman came to Altoona on Friday evening to visit his parents over the week-end and had retired at 10.30 o'clock in apparently good health. He was found cold in death by his mother when she went to the bedroom last Saturday morning. He had been employed at Mt. Union in the powder plant for the past year. He was born at Lock Haven May 18, 1878, the son of George W. and Catharine Coffman. Surviving are the parents and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Ella Williams, William Coffman, Mrs. May Reidenbaugh, Mrs. Clare Ullery and A. G. Coffman, all of this city, and Alden, in the medical corps of the army and Mrs. Ruth Norris of Philadelphia. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. Coroner W. T. Blackburn investigated the death and found that no inquest would be necessary. Dr. H. B. Replogle examined the remains and found that death occurred some hours before the body was discovered. The funeral will be conducted at the house this afternoon at 2.30 o'clock by Rev. W. L. McClure. Interment in Rose Hill cemetery. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Monday Morning, April 29, 1918
