ELMIRA COLBERT Widow of Isaiah Colbert, died on Saturday morning at 9.50 o'clock at her home, 515 Second avenue, Duncansville, after an illness of seven weeks. She was a daughter of Adam and Mary (Traxler) Black, both deceased, and was born on Nov. 6, 1870, at Greenwood Furnace, Huntingdon county. More than forty years ago she was united in marriage with Isaiah Colbert, the ceremony taking place in Williamsburg, and shortly afterwards she became a resident of Duncansville residing there ever since. Mr. Colbert preceded her in death on July 20, 1919. She leaves four sisters, Mrs. Olive Gibboney of Cresson, Mrs. Arminta Stewart of Altoona, Mrs. Etta Shipe of Juniata and Mrs. Mary Andrews of Hollidaysburg. Two brothers, John and Glenn Black, predeceased her. Soon after moving to Duncansville she became affiliated with the Hicks Memorial Methodist church and was one of its most faithful members. She was also a member of several of the women's organizations of the church and Pride of Blair temple, No. 55, Ladies of the Golden Eagle of Duncansville. Burial was made in Carson Valley cemetery.
