JOHN L. COLBERT

Of 205 E. 3rd Ave., died at 3.40 p.m. yesterday in the Altoona Hospital 
after a brief illness. He was born at Williamsburg Oct. 28, 1888, a son 
of Benjamin and Elizabeth Colbert, and married Nettie Ward. The couple 
marked their 50th anniversary Oct. 18. Surviving are his wife, a son, 
Chester Hoover of Baltimore, Md., and a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy 
Bittenbember of Arizona. He was a member of the Christ Second Lutheran 
Church and retired as a P.R.R. yard brakeman Oct. 26, 1951, after 40
