At fifteen minutes past 12 o'clock Sunday morning Mr. James B. Cole died at his residence, 2425 Fourth street. He had been ill for three weeks and the cause of death was heart trouble accompanied with dropsy. Mr. Cole was aged 53 years, 5 months and 9 days, having been born in Lewistown, Mifflin county, September 2, 1845. He was a veteran of the war of the rebellion, having served three years and nine months as a member of company M, Nineteenth Pennsylvania volunteer cavalry. He was also a member of Lieutenant S. C. Potts post, No. 62, Grand Army of the Republic. He is survived by his wife and nine children. Also by two brothers and two sisters. He was a member of the Fairview Methodist Episcopal church.
