At an early hour yesterday morning Mr. William Luther Coleman died at the state asylum for the insane at Harrisburg. The deceased's home was at Fourth avenue and Sixth street, Juniata, and he was one of the best known residents of the county. He was born on the Coleman farm in Logan township, about 45 years ago. For some fifteen years he was a resident of Juniata and was an employe of the Pennsylvania railroad company under Foreman D. T. Goodman, near Blair Blair [sic] Furnace. In 1876 he was united in marriage to Miss Amanda C. Cox, who died in 1891. To this union one daughter, Nellie, was born, and who is still living. In 1895 he was married to Mrs. Jennie Vance, who, with one daughter, survives. These brothers and sisters are living: J. B. Coleman, of Juniata; Thomas L. Coleman, of Sinking Valley; Mrs. Samuel Black and Mrs. Ella Noble, of Logan township. Mr. Coleman was taken to Harrisburg about two months ago suffering from the effects of being thrown from a horse. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late residence. Morning Tribune, Saturday, October 28, 1899
