Collins, of this city, died at her home, 703 Third street, of acute indigestion, after an illness of but three hours. She had returned last evening from Irvona, where she had spent the weekend with her daughter. She was stricken shortly after 11 o'clock and passed away at 1:40 o'clock yesterday morning. She was born in Altoona in 1869. She was united in marriage twenty-four years ago and besides her husband is survived by five children as follows: Samuel, of Philadelphia; Mrs. Pearl Spade, of Irvona; Roy, Lloyd and Alda M., all at home. Eight brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Benjamin McCauley, William Griffith, Mrs. Harry Lightner, and Mrs. George McClelland, all of this city; Mrs. Samuel McCormick, of Braddock; Mrs. Carrie Hill, of Ebensburg; Blair Griffith, of Pittsburg, and John Griffith, of Coalport. She had just returned from a two days visit at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pearl Spade of Irvona, and was apparently in the best of health, until she was stricken on Sunday evening about 11 o'clock, death resulting three hours later. She was born in this city 44 years ago, and was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Jennie Griffith. She was married twenty-one years ago, and besides her husband is survived by the following five children: Samuel, of Philadelphia; Mrs. Pearl Spade, of Irvona; Roy, Lloyd and Alda May, all of this city.
