He was born in Dundalk, county Laugh, Ireland, October 12, 1838, coming direct to Altoona in June, 1884. After coming to this city he entered the service of the Pennsylvania railroad company, working in the Twelfth street shops until three years ago, when he retired from active life. He was a member of St. John's Catholic church. He is survived by his wife and the following children: James, John, Mary, Catherine, Bernard, Dennie and Annie, all of this city, and a nephew, Patrick Conlon. Requiem mass will be celebrated in St. John's church at 9:15 Wednesday morning. Interment will follow in St. John's cemetery. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Monday, March 2, 1908
