Conover Jr., of Grazierville, Tyrone RD 4, died Sunday at 4:20 a.m. at the Tyrone Hospital, where he had been a patient since December 23. He was born July 4, 1917, at Everett, a son of Samuel E. and Nancy Hetrick Conover. He never married. He is survived by a brother, Isaiah Conover, of Hopewell, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. He was of the Protestant faith. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army Engineers in Germany. He was a member of Anderson-Denny VFW Post 4459 and of the Tyrone Sportsmen's Association. He had been employed by the DelGrosso Packing Company, Tipton, since 1954. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Feller Memorial Home, with the Rev. Eugene R. Steiner officiating. Interment with military honors will be at Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the memorial home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., January 3, 1978
