Adam Carl Conrad, aged 20, who was killed in action in Belgium with the infantry Oct. 15, 1944, will arrive in Altoona at 6.10 o'clock Monday evening, it was announced today by his family. Pfc. Conrad was born in Newry May 20, 1924, the son of Charles and Margaret (Weyandt) Conrad, both deceased, and attended St. Patrick's school at Newry, where he also served as an altar boy at the church. He entered the army Jan. 3, 1943, and trained at Fort Lewis, Wash., and in Oklahoma and California before being sent to England in November, 1943. Surviving are his sister, Mrs. Geraldine Yingling of 2513 Broad avenue, to whose home the body will be taken, and the following brothers: Regis of Claysburg, R.D. 1; Francis and Eugene, both Hollidaysburg; Charles and William of Altoona and Donald of Huntingdon.
