ELLEN CONRAD Widow of John Conrad and residing at 1110 Third avenue, Duncansville, for many years, died last Thursday evening at the home of a nephew, Wilson Conrad, at Waverly, Va. Mrs. Conrad's health had been failing for several years and about a year ago she went to the home of her nephew. Five weeks ago her condition became critical due to a stroke. Mrs. Conrad was the daughter of Moses and Mary Ritchey Bowser and was born at Blue Knob on March 1, 1858. She was united in marriage with John Conrad and they resided on a farm in the vicinity of Pavia for many years, retiring and moving to Duncansville nineteen years ago, where Mr. Conrad died on Jan. 27, 1937. Surviving are one brother and one sister, Calvin Bowser and Mrs. Ida Berkheimer, both of Portage, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Mt. Hope Reformed church at Blue Knob. Funeral services were held on Sunday. CONRAD - Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Conrad will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at the Mt. Hope Reformed church at Blue Knob.
