MRS. ETHEL M. (PFAHLER) CONRAD

Of 2013 Pine Ave., died at her home at 1:20 a.m. today after a brief illness.  
She was born in Altoona on Sept. 11, 1897, a daughter of Louis and Ida M. 
(Breidenbaugh) Pfahler, and in June 1917 married Ralph D. Conrad, who died in 
December 1955.  Surviving are four children, Mrs. Guy Burkett of Hollidaysburg, 
Ralph of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Charles Colyer Jr. of Crown Point, Ind., and Mrs. H. 
Simm of Altoona; 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three sisters, 
Mrs. Walter Gardner of the city, Mrs. Peter March of New York City and Mrs. 
Louis Schmahl of Sodus, N.Y.  She was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church.  
Friends may call at the Lafferty Funeral Home after 2 p.m. tomorrow.
