JOHN GERALD CONRAD 

Of 326 Atlantic Avenue, York, a resident of Altoona until six months ago and a 
Veteran of World War I, died at 8 o'clock this morning in the York General 
Hospital after suffering a heart attack yesterday afternoon.  He was born in 
Altoona in October 1888, a son of John H. and Catherine (Hawk) Conrad.  In 
World War I, Mr. Conrad served in France with the Second Marine Division.  
Surviving are three sisters and one brother, Miss Edith of Harrisburg, Mrs. 
Marian Meiluta of Philadelphia, Glenn G. of Florida and Mrs. Bessie Tease of 
the city.  Friends will be received at the Laughlin funeral home after 7 
o'clock Thursday evening.
