RECORD OF DEATH 

Names of Persons Who Have Been Called to the Other Shore

  At 6 o'clock Saturday morning, John Conrad died at his home 1617 Second Avenue 
of Bright's Disease.  The deceased was born near Newry, Blair County, 40 years 
ago.  He had resided in the city for a number of years and was employed in the 
Pennsylvania Railroad Telegraph Shop, being a skilled and experienced brass 
finisher.
  He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the choir 
until a year ago; since then he sang at St. John's.  He was also a member of the 
Concordia Singing Society and the Young Men's Institute.  He was well known and 
esteemed by a large circle of friends.
  He was married September 23, 1883 to Miss Katie Hawk, who survived him with 
seven children; Leo, Edith, Gerald, Roy, Glenn, Catherine and Marion and one 
sister; Mrs. Margaret Newton of New York and these half sisters and brothers; 
Mrs. Lizzie Spieres, Mrs. Thomas Ratchford, Miss Laura Campbell and Mr. Warren 
Campbell.  
  The funeral will take place Tuesday morning.  Service to be conducted at 
Sacred Heart Church at 9 o'clock.  Interment in St. John's.
