Mr. James Conroy, one of Frankstown's oldest and most-respected citizens, died on Monday evening at 7 o'clock. He was born in Cumberland county on the 18th day of July 1800, and had therefore just taken a step into his 86th year. He came to what is now Blair county, in 1821, and has been a residence here ever since. He leaves five children, two sons and three daughters, to mourn his departure. He had living sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. One daughter, Mrs. James Gardner, resides at Occallala, Neb.; another, Mrs. Robert Taylor, in Taylor township, this county, and the other, Mrs. William Parker, at Toledo, Iowa. His son William is a resident of Altoona, and Joseph remains at the homestead in Frankstown. The funeral took place from the late residence of the deceased, at 10 o'clock this morning.
