Cook, formerly foreman of the Juniata blacksmith shop, died at the home of her son Robert A. Cook, 1118 Fifth avenue yesterday morning of a complication of diseases due to advancing age. She had been in ill health for the two years and for the past month had been confined to her bed. Deceased was the daughter of William and Mary Hodge, deceased, and was born at Bladdenburg, Md., on October 20, 1839. She was married some forty four years ago to William T. Cook at Washington, D.C., a year after took up her residence in Altoona, and had since resided here. She was a consistent member of St. Luke's Episcopal church and was held in esteem and respect by all who shared her acquaintance. Her husband proceeded her to the grave nearly five years ago and she is survived by three children, Robert A., with whom she resided; Mrs. Frank Stauterm of 1020 Seventh avenue; and Mrs. Harry C. Lafferty, of New Castle. She is also survived by a twin sister, Miss Mary Hodge of Maintain D.C. The remains may be viewed this evening. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon, services to be conducted at the house. Interment in Fairview cemetery.
