Cook, 96, of Bellwood died Sunday afternoon, at Epworth Manor, Tyrone. She was born in Bellwood, a daughter of the late Charles N. and Catherine M. (Shunk) Persing. She married John W. Cook on May 27, 1932 in Bellwood; he died on Feb. 19, 1964. Mrs. Cook is survived by a son: John P. Cook of Bellwood; daughters: Naomi J. Weiser of Bellmeade, Catharine E. Wills of Holland and Mary Lou Gilbert of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and a sister, Catherine Hess of Huntingdon. She was preceded in death by a grandson: Daryne Cook and sisters: Emma Dunmire, E. Pearl Hoshstrasser and Leora H. Persing. Mrs. Cook was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bellwood. She enjoyed cooking and playing cards. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m., Tues., Dec. 20 and from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. time of the funeral service on Wed., Dec. 21, 2005 at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood with Rev. Robert Kennedy officiating. Interment at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
