Death of Elinor Cooney

On Tuesday evening Elinor Cooney the young daughter of Mrs. Mary
Cooney, of Houtzdale, died at the home of her uncle, Thomas P. Dolan,
on Cameron avenue. of acute taxaemia and pleurisy.  The young lady had
not been feeling well the past seven days, and her mother thinking a
change of climate would be beneficial to her, sent her to Tyrone to
visit a few days.  On Monday, she grew much worse and the very best of
medical assistance was secured, but it was of no avail as she passed
peacefully away last evening.  Elinor Cooney was born October 25,
1900, in Pittsburg.  Later the family moved to Houtzdale where they
have resided ever since.  At the time of her death, she was 7 years
and 11 days old.  She was a very good little girl with a sweet
disposition and was dearly loved by all who knew her.  Besides her
mother, she leaves one brother, Joseph, and two sisters, Kathleen and
Anna, to mourn her death.  The funeral will occur on Friday morning at
Houtzdale, services in the Catholic church at that place.  Interment
in the Catholic cemetery.
