HOLLIDAYSBURG
Emanuel W. Coons

  Emanuel W. Coons, one of the best known residents of Hollidaysburg 
and retired farmer of the county, died yesterday morning at 8:20 
o'clock of a complication of diseases at the home of his son, A. J. 
Coons, 622 North Juniata street.  Deceased was born on March 25, 1842, 
thus being aged 74 years.  He was a consistent member of the Methodist 
Episcopal church of Hollidaysburg.  His wife preceded him to the grave 
several years ago.  He is survived by one daughter and two sons, as 
follows:  Mrs. J. A. Martz and A. J. Coons, of Hollidaysburg; Harry J., 
of Pittsburg; also by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  
The funeral services will be held at his late home on Saturday 
afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.  Private interment will be made in the 
Presbyterian cemetery.  Please omit flowers.
