Louise Cooper, 79, 500 W. 19th St., Tyrone, died late Sunday morning, August 15, 1999, at the home of her son, John, 1707 Columbia Ave., Tyrone. She was born Sept. 28, 1919, in Grampian, the daughter of the late Oscar and Zula (Lewis) Lewis. She married John T. Cooper April 27, 1940, in Roaring Spring. He died April 1, 1981. Mrs. Cooper was a member of Tyrone First English Lutheran Church. She was a 1937 graduate of Tyrone High School. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the ladies auxiliary of United Transportation Union, Excelsior Lodge, and Tyrone Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are a son, John Thomas Jr. of Tyrone; a daughter, Janis A. Fraser of Reading; five grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone. COOPER - Funeral services for D. Louise Cooper will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone, with the Rev. Terryann Talbot-Moses officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone, where an Eastern Star service will be held at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. Contributions in her memory may be offered to the Tyrone Hospital Care Car, 1 Hospital Drive, Tyrone, Pa. 16686. Surviving are a son-in-law, George P. Fraser of Reading; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie K. Cooper of Tyrone; two granddaughters: Pamela Port of Altoona and Stacy Cooper of Tyrone; three grandsons: Philip, Matthew and Franklyn Fraser of Reading; two great-grandsons; Garrett Cooper and Coady Markel of Tyrone; one nephew; two nieces; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
