He was born in Fulton county, July 17, 1879, a son of William and Harriet (Kiser) Cooper. His wife, Arminta Cooper, died June 24, 1935. Surviving are three children, Mrs. Albert Seeman of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Harold Spohn of Fairless Hills and Raymond Cooper, with whom he made his home, 11 grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren, three brothers, Clarence of Chambersburg, Charles of Montana and Norman Cooper of McConnellsburg and one sister, Mrs. Ruth Thuna of Philadelphia. He was a member of Pleasant Valley EUB church for many years and of the Men's Bible class. Mr. Cooper retired from the Altoona works car shops in May, 1944. Friends will be received at Mauk & Yates funeral home until 11 o'clock tomorrow morning and thereafter at the Pleasant Valley EUB church. Altoona Mirror, December 6, 1954
