BERTHA C. CORNELIUS
Of Orchard Crossing, Tyrone, died at 5:05 p.m. yesterday May 27, 1971, in 
Tyrone Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born at Grazierville on Nov. 
1, 1886, a daughter of Dysart and Alverda (VanScoyoc) Fagley and in 1903 in 
the Warriors Mark Methodist parsonage married Hayden L. Cornelius, who died 
Jan. 11, 1945. Surviving are 11 children, Mrs. Leonard Woodring of 
Harmonsburg, Mrs. Edward Waite of Grazierville, Fagley of Meadville, Mrs. 
William Ayers and Clem of Tyrone, Frank of Homewood, Gilbert of Altoona, 
Hayden, of Duncansville, Mrs. George Kaufman of Cowansville, John A. and Vern, 
at home: 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five brothers and 
sisters, Judson of Altoona, Frank of Bellemead, John of State College, Mrs. 
Ralph Peck and Mary of Tyrone. Mrs. Cornelius was a member of the Grazierville 
United Methodist Church, member of the B. of R.T. Auxiliary and charter member 
of the American War Mothers. Friends will be received in the Getz & Searer 
Funeral Home, Tyrone, after 7 p.m. today, noon tomorrow and after 11 a.m. 
Sunday in the church.
