EMMA CORNELIUS Mrs. Emma Cornelius of 1818 Tenth Avenue, died at the Altoona Hospital yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock, after a few hours illness. She was stricken with apoplexy at 9 o'clock yesterday morning while engaged in her household duties, and was taken to the hospital. Mrs. Cornelius was the widow of Robert H. Cornelius, who died in May 1922. She was born at Milroy, Pa., September 6, 1852, and had been a resident of Altoona for thirty-five years. A brother, Theophilus B. Civils of Roselawn, and a foster sister, Mrs. Millie Shaver, with whom she resided, survives. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church. Owing to the absence of the pastor, who is attending conference, the services, which will be held at the home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, will be conducted by the Reverend E. F. Nonemaker, of the Lakemont Church of God. Interment in Fairview cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., March 15, 1924
