PETER CORNELIUS.

  Peter Cornelius, a well-known citizen of the Sixth ward, died at his home, 
2318 Fourth avenue, at 12.35 o'clock Monday morning, of heart trouble.  He 
had been ill for about seven years.  Deceased was 70 years of age on January 
18.  He leaves a wife, whose maiden name was Sarah Myers, and these children: 
A. Curtin, Jesse, Mrs. Rachel Keyes, Mrs. Annie Hendershot, Mrs. Eliza Witts, 
Mrs. Jennie Emerick, and Lloyd; also by these sisters: Mrs. Rebecca Carness 
and Mrs. Rachel McManamy, of this city.  Deceased was a member of Simpson 
Methodist Episcopal church.
