Cornelius William Davis Cornelius of Antis township, near Tipton, died yesterday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock at his home, death resulting cerebral hemorrhage. He was born at Alexandria, Jan. 3, 1852. Mr. Cornelius had been a resident on the farm on which he died for the past 21 years. He was an agriculturist by occupation. Mr. Cornelius was married Dec. 24, 1879, to Miss Alice Hutchinson, who survives with two sons and two daughters, as follows: L. H. Cornelius of Grazierville and E. H. Cornelius of this city; Mrs. Harry Phillips of Juniata and Mrs. Laura Fagley of Juniata. He also leaves two brothers, Samuel Cornelius of Juniata and Reed Cornelius of Patton and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Jackson of Cleveland, O., and Mrs. Lizzie Cobb of St. Petersburg, Fla. Mr. Cornelius was a member of the Reformed church of Alexandria and was a great- hearted man, beloved by a wide circle of friends and neighbors. The remains have been taken in charge by Funeral Director Fuoss of Bellwood, The funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home.
