JOHN LEE COUNSMAN

A native of Altoona residing at 461 S. Centre St., Philipsburg, died at 7 a.m. 
today, May 19, 1971, at his home after an extended illness.  He was born June 
14, 1913, a son of John L. and Leocadia (Miller) Counsman, and in 1944 at 
Osceola Mills married Mary Elle McClimate.  Surviving are his wife, three 
children, John L. of Clearfield and Kathleen and James P., at home; one grandson 
and seven brothers and sisters, Henry of Sayreville, N.J., Mrs. Charles Weyandt, 
Russell, Charles and Edward of Altoona, Richard of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. 
William Lilly of Chicago.  Mr. Counsman was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic 
Church, Philipsburg.  A graduate of Altoona Catholic High School, and a veteran 
of Army service, he was a supervisor for the General Cigar Co. of Philipsburg.  
Friends will be received in the Dahlgren Funeral Home, Philipsburg, from 7 to 9 
p.m. tomorrow and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
