JOHN WESLEY COVERT
 
Of 2202 Eighth Avenue, died at 7:30 last evening at his home.  He was 
born in Three Springs, Huntingdon County, January 26, 1888, the son of 
Frank and Jenny (Stake) Covert, and was married to Mary Soyster October 
15, 1921, at  Williamsburg.  Surviving are his wife and the following 
children:   Mrs. Allen Dively of Altoona and Mrs. Charles Littleton of 
Harrisburg; two granddaughters, the following brothers and sisters:  
Earl N. Covert of Altoona; Rev. H. T. Covert of Bedford, Mrs. Charles 
Neusbaum of Mount Union, Mrs. Catharine Close of Elizabethtown; one 
brother, Harold Parks of Mapleton; and one half-sister, Mrs. Gerald 
Kylor of Parkersburg, West Virginia.  He was a member of the Covert 
Creek Church of the Brethren.  He retired from the Pennsylvania 
Electric company in 1947 after 32 years service.  Friends will be 
received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening.
