COWAN

  Gordon A. Cowan, son of Edward J. and Pearl (deceased) Cowan died at 
the Altoona hospital at 2 a.m. Sunday of appendicitis.  He was aged 6 
years 4 months and 17 days and attended St. John's school and was a 
member of St. John's church.  He is survived by his father and two 
brothers, Eugene and Lawrence at home.  The funeral will be held 
Tuesday with Mass at St. John's church at 9 o'clock, followed by 
interment in St. Mary's cemetery.
