COWEN Formerly of Martinsburg, died in the Jackson Memorial hospital, Dade City, Fla., on Thursday, May 6, at 1.30 a.m. She was born at Roaring Spring, R.D. 1, Jan. 18, 1887, a daughter of Albert A. and Susann (Long) Cowen. Surviving are two brothers, W. Howard and G. Warren, both of Martinsburg, R.D., and an uncle, Dr. Edward Cowen of Cottonwood, S. D., and Dade City, Fla., with whom she made her home for the past 34 years. Also surviving are a niece, Mrs. Hazel Cowen Dollar, and a nephew, Paul H. Cowen, both of Martinsburg, R.D. Miss Cowen was educated in Skyles school, Martinsburg, and was a member of the Martinsburg Methodist church. Friends will be received at the Miller funeral home, Martinsburg, after 7 o'clock this evening. Altoona Mirror, May 10, 1954
